Chiropractic care offers your family a solid foundation for wellness by addressing and supporting healthy sleep patterns, behavior, attitude, and an optimal functioning immune system.
Today we find more parents bringing their children to chiropractors for day-to-day health concerns we’re all familiar with like asthma, colds, sore throats, ear infections, fevers, colic, tonsillitis, allergies, bed-wetting, pains, falls, stomach-aches, and the hundred-and-something other little and big things children encounter as they grow up.
Chiropractic adjustments helps restore the normal function of your child’s nervous system by aligning the spinal cord. An in-line-spine gives an child’s digestive tract a better opportunity to receive adequate nerve supply from the brain. This interprets into the body’s ability to better coordinate digestion naturally.
One of the more effective treatments by way of chiropractic is for acute ear infections in children. “Almost half of all children will have at least one middle ear infection before they’re a year old, and two-thirds of them will have had at least one such infection by age 3. The symptoms can include ear pain, fever, and irritability.” Manual mobilization of the ear helps facilitate drainage of the ear. Enhancing drainage does not allow for a buildup of fluid which prevents development of infection.
- can aid the immune system through gentle adjusting to respond more favorably to external and internal environmental stressors
- helps alleviate / manage colic in infants
- chiropractic manipulations mobilize drainage of the ear in children to prevent / treat ear infections
As always, In order to diagnose the root cause(s) of your symptoms and create a personalized treatment plan, I will first gather and analyze important information about your lifestyle, medical history, general health and the like.
Next, I will conduct a thorough examination and review any/all paperwork and documentation that has been provided (e.g. X-rays, MRIs, etc.) by you or other health care providers.
For pediatric patients, a thorough analysis of the spinal column and related structures is performed to search for balance and proper function. If misalignments of the spine are detected, we perform precise corrective procedures called spinal adjustments. Using very gentle touch and sometimes specialized instrumentation we correct function of the spine and cranium returning the nervous system to its natural state of balance.
Care is always taken to formulate an accurate diagnosis. In some instances a referral to other specialists may be made to ensure only the most appropriate treatment necessary.
